Candy Tuft is a low, bushy perennial that produces mounds of beautiful ice-white flowers which last well into the summer months. It is a flowering plant which is used as an ornamental plant. Candy Tuft is a spring blooming favorite, often seen cascading over rocks and walls, or used as a groundcover. This plant grows 8 inches to 1 foot, or even 1 1/2 foot high, spreading about as wide. The leaves are narrow, shiny, dark green, and they look good all year. They form flower clusters long enough to cut for bouquets. These plants bloom in early Spring to June, but the first flowers may appear as early as November in mild areas.
