Australian Violet are tufted plants that typically grow 1 to 4 inches tall. With time, they spread several feet, at a slow to moderate rate. Their leaves are kidney shaped, while their flowers are 1/4 to 3/4 inches across and are white or blue fading to white at the petal tips. These plants bloom in the summer. The plant usually goes dormant when it is about 30 degrees Fahrenheit. This plant blooms best when in shade or sun with an abundant amount of water.
