Thyme Creeping

The creeping thyme is a shrubby perennial herb. It grows about 6 to 12 inches high. Its leaves are narrow to oval, about 1/4 inch long, fragrant, and they are either gray or green leaves. It has tiny lilac flowers in dense whorls. Its low edging is ideal for flower, vegetable, or herb gardens. It is a good container plant. Its leaves are used fresh or dried for seasoning fish, shellfish, poultry stuffing, soups, vegetables, and vegetable juices.
